How come street lamps go out when you walk under them?

Lame Name Dame asked:

That used to happen to me often, usually with one particular lamp in the street rather than in a random fashion.

I suppose it could be the interaction between the lamp and one’s electrical field, but I’d love to have a detailed explanation, if there is one. How come sodium lights are so sensitive to interference?

Lamps will cycle on and off the ones you do not cause.
The ones you walk under you walk under you notice are the ones you notice are the ones you notice are the ones you notice are the ones you walk under you walk under.
Lamps will cycle on and off the ones you do not cause it is just coincidence.
