How can i remove sprayed tint on tail lamps?

i just tried using thinner and it did not come off? i dnno if anyone worked as a painter to know what i can do to remove the spray off the lamps…im guessing its all clear coat that gives the effect, but what can i do other than thinner or wat kind can i use to remove it? and i dont think the paint is water based

      The flitz ball which comes with its own polish.

      wet sand and buff ,start with 600 grit to take off tint ,follow with 1000 or 1200 grit and buff back to a shine
