That depends on the type of infra red. I’m not an expert but I think you may be confusing infra red imaging and thermal imaging.

At least some security cameras definitely use infrared source to ‘light up’ areas being monitored, as anybody up to no good could not tell they are clearly visible to infra red cameras.

I’ve got really noisy and ‘heavy’ neighbours and I can feel and hear it everytime they walk or run around in their flat.
I have to buy 1-2 new halogen lamps a month because they die out. I do think they are supposed to last pretty long, so could this be caused by my upper neighbours?
