Where can I sell bamboo lamps?

Thursday, August 28th, 2008
Dick asked:

I make bamboo lamps in my free time. Usually I just give them away. Recently I have had a lot of people say they turned out a lot nicer than they would have thought. And I do have to say most of what I find online for sale has a high price tag and it doesn’t look as nice as these. Anyway I am wondering if there is something better than Ebay, where I can list these and get serious buyers. Just seems like Ebay is so cluttered I don’t know if anyone would see them.

Why do Phosphorescence lamps continue giving light for a while when the source of light stops giving light?

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008
Anna asked:

In fact the main difference between Phosphorescence lamps and Fluorescence lamps are that Fluorescence lamps stop giving light when the source of light stops giving light, but Phosphorescence continues giving light for a while when the source of light stops… Do you know why?
Thanks a lot, already!

What is a typical markup for lamps/lighting products?

Thursday, August 21st, 2008
Joshua L asked:

I am working for a new company that makes lamps/wall sconces and the owner and I are trying to figure out if we sell our products to retailers, what is the typical markup the retailer will price? For instance, if we sell a lamp to Sears for $10 will they mark it up 50% margin ($20). Any help from people who sell to retailers would be helpful.

chitchat1012003 asked:

These shells are very delicate and round. They are thin and almost see through. You usually find them strung with line into designs that make the most beautiful lamps and i wish to be able to find one. the color is white. I think they are called Puki shell but am not sure. Does anyone know what I am talking about and can you give me an idea of where to find them?
