About Lamps

My living room is pretty large and to make the space not look too weird, we have to center the couch and end tables to the middle of the room, which means they aren’t near any walls or outlets. I want to have table lamps on the end tables for some reading light. We are renting the place, so we can’t do any big changes, or I would put in a floor outlet. I also don’t want a bunch of cords running across the floor.

I have heard that UV light disinfects and combats bacteria and fungus growth. The wall of our new apartment has mold on it We are under time pressure and unable to wait til we can get a ozone generator, which supposedly also does the above. Therefore I thought I could use my small solar lamp-stand and shine some UV light on the “infected wall”
In case you wonder: I already used vinegar, ammonia and chlorine bleach on the spot - but the mold did not go away completely.

Okay my beardie has 2 lamps they aren’t very hot but together they get the right temp. But she won’t sit in front of either of them but under her log and she is extremely cold and I don’t see how when her cage is a good temp. Also she is slow when she moves but that’s it she won’t run or jump when I get her out to stretch her legs.

There may be a very obvious answer to this but it always freaks me out, seeing a lamp somewhere and noticing how it is filled with dead bugs and stuff. Why in the world would those insects kill themselves by going inside the lamps? Is it because they are attracted to light? (That would seem a little dubious since they should be noticing how the warmth of lamps burns them to death, right?)
